A Yearly Inspection of Your Tank Is A Necessity!
Please be advised all oil storage tanks should be inspected by the homeowner's, periodically, to assure the tank is in serviceable condition. If deterioration or leaks are observed (or if you plan on remodeling or relocating the tank), please contact our office immediately. If you are thinking about upgrading or replacing your tank, please call our office. We offer free estimates. Why Should I Have My Heating System Cleaned Yearly?
Throughout the heating season, small amounts of carbon collect on the heat exchanger walls of your boiler or furnace. Carbon insulates these surfaces, preventing proper transfer of heat, resulting in "useful heat" lost up the chimney. Some people think that if they don't use their heating system during warm months, they should wait until the fall to get their tune-up!.. That's not true. 
The key isn't when you have it done, but that you have it done properly, and on a regular basis. However, a Spring or a Summer tune-up gives you the benefit of more convenient appointment times. Also, if your service technician finds a problem that might require more time to repair, you wouldn't be inconvenienced by cold weather repairs.

Whether your system is tuned-up in March or November has little impact on its readiness for winter.
